Frontier is a sans-serif typeface that at once has both a modern appearance and an art deco flair. Inspired by typefaces like Neutraface and Toronto Subway, both of which were based, in part, off of Futura, Frontier was designed in the style of the geometric typefaces that have come before it, recalling the industrial designs produced during the Bauhaus era, while still maintaining a warm, human feeling. Given the exaggerated features that define the typeface (e.g. the low bars/crossbars and the large counters), Frontier lends itself best to large-format signage and displays, rather than small copy text.
